Cereals 2025 - NEW knife roller cultivator and ploughs

For Cereals, this year our big highlight on the AMAZONE Stand will be the Cirrus Grand 9004, as well as our TopCut 12000 knife roller cultivator and new plough, a smaller Teres 200. Our trailed Precea precision seeder is also making a big appearance alongside the first 7-metre-wide Cobra shallow tine cultivator in the country and the Venterra inter-row cultivator in new green and orange colours.
On the first evening of the show, the 11th June, we are hosting an on-stand evening reception with all welcome to join us for a drink and pizza.

NEW Cirrus Grand – trailed cultivator drill

Bild1

Built for high output and precision, the Cirrus Grand is designed to offer large capacities at wide working widths without compromising on seed placement or crop establishment.

The new Cirrus Grand range includes both the 8004-2C and 9004-2C models, which feature a 5,750 litre twin or triple split tank hopper and the latest in AMAZONE seeding technology. Thanks to its individual row shut-off system and the new segmented distribution head, the Cirrus Grand brings total overlaps down to below 1%. Each coulter’s shut-off timing is so accurate it is automatically adjusted to compensate for seed pipe length, ensuring pinpoint accuracy and minimal waste - ideal for farms aiming to reduce input costs while maximising output. Due to this new distributor head, tramlines can be drilled to suit any sprayer widths. The newly designed Matrix tyres continue AMAZONE’s philosophy of strip-wise consolidation, applying consolidation only onto the seed row whilst leaving the soil between rows loose to allow for good water infiltration.

NEW TopCut – knife roller cultivator

With the ever-increasing use of cover crops as green manures, as well as SFI crops, the conversation often arises of the best way to establish the following cash crop, especially when trying to utilise a direct drill or minimum till system. The use of a topper is frequently seen across the country to break down vast amounts of green matter. Using a topper is an effective way to mulch green cover down but is very fuel and time intensive and sometimes even needs multiple passes.

On its UK debut at Cereals 2025, the TopCut 12000-2T knife roller cultivator will be shown with a working width of 12.1 m. It consists of up to 3 consecutive tool segments, plus a rear segment that can be equipped with various different tools to suit the customer’s needs and requirements. With a combination of knife rollers and/or Minimum TillDiscs, with optional front leading knife roller, creates a machine that can be customised to a farm’s exact preference.

Additionally, the TopCut is more than suited for shallow cultivation of 0-2 cm. The knife rollers produce enough fine soil for optimum seedbed generation, encouraging weed seeds and volunteer cereals to germinate.

  • First row of optional leading tools: knife roller
  • Second and third row main tools: Combination of knife roller and/or Minimum TillDisc
  • Fourth row rear segment: Three-row straw harrow, or the option of packer rollers without the leading tool

With a working speed of up to 20 km/h and very low fuel consumption of approximately 2.5 l/ha, huge work rates are possible whilst keeping costs to a minimum. Thanks to the reversible knives on the knife roller, not only can the service life be doubled, but the wear costs can also be minimised.

NEW Teres 200 – mounted plough

Bild4

AMAZONE will also be showcasing the lighter-weight Teres 200 mounted plough, designed specifically for tractors up to 200 hp. Available with up to 5 furrows, the Teres 200 combines a robust build with easy adjustment and smooth handling in work - delivering top-tier ploughing performance in a more compact, versatile package. The Teres 200 V also has the option of hydraulic furrow width for adjustment from 30 cm to 50 cm or 33 cm to 55 cm per body, depending on the point-to-point clearance. The AutoAdapt automatic front furrow adjustment offers a huge advantage in terms of comfort and precision. The front furrow is automatically adjusted when the total working width is changed. The overload safety protection can be specified either as shear bolt on the Teres 200 model or hydraulically on the Teres 200 S. Both variants are available in either four or five furrows and with or without hydraulic furrow width adjustment. The plough is characterised by its simple adjustment, its exceptionally light pull and the perfect working result.

The Teres is equipped with SpeedBlade plough bodies with a patented extra-large front shin on the mouldboard. This ensures significantly less wear on the main body, even at faster ploughing speeds. By increasing the working speed from say 6 km/h up to 10 km/h, the main wear point shifts further and further back towards the centre of the plough body. With SpeedBlade, the main wear point remains on the enlarged front shin of the mouldboard and not on the slatted or solid mouldboard, even at high forward speeds. It is, therefore, only necessary to replace just the front shin of the mouldboard. This saves enormous wear costs.

NEW Trailed Precea – precision seeder

Bild5

To complete the launch of the trailed Precea line-up, the new smaller trailed 6 metre version, Precea 6000-TCC, is now also available to round off the range for larger farms and contractors. Whether used for conventional or mulch sowing, the Precea-TCC trailed precision seeder is characterised particularly by its very precise placement, high output and ease of operation. With SmartControl automatic singling adjustment, setup is super quick and simple comprising of the Opto-sensor seed monitoring and automatic stripper fingers. The Opto-sensor is able to detect any misses or doubles and automatically compensates by moving the 3 stripper fingers to ensure the most accurate singling possible, even at high speeds.

The trailed Precea is also available with CSS (Central Seed Supply), with a 850 l or 2000 l central seed hopper for reduced filling stops and downtime. Seed is delivered from the central hopper to the reception units, mounted above each sowing unit, via an air stream. These reception units act as a temporary store for the seed. The control system is self-regulating: If the hopper is full enough so that the green grid on the inside is completely covered with seed, this restricts the air flow - no more seed is transported from the central hopper to the sowing units. As the seed is taken down into the singling chamber, the reservoir empties, and the air flow is reactivated. The Central Seed Supply System thus ensures that the sowing unit supplies itself with seed without the need for electronic control.

Venterra - inter-row cultivator

Bild6

The Venterra will be on show this year in its new green and orange colour scheme and on show will be the Venterra 2K in working widths of 4.50 – 6.75. In addition to the 2K, larger and smaller models are available: the Venterra VR4 at 7.2 - 12.8 m working widths and Venterra 1K at 1.3 - 4.2 m working widths.
Row spacing is completely flexible from 12.5cm upwards and each machine can be completely customised from factory, or on farm, to suit every need including: finger weeders, protection discs, section control, as well as shift frames with camera guidance. Both Venterra 1K and 2K can be used as front or rear mounted machines. By choosing a more cost-effective front mounted machine without camera or shift frame, the Venterra range is a great way to get started with inter-row cultivation whilst still having the option of upgrading in the future by simply attaching camera control and a shift frame at a later date.

3C Demo Tour 2017

So 8 tractors – and 8 machines - are out on tour around the country this summer doing just that and they are coming to a field near you on:

Cataya comes to Cereals 2017

The trend latterly when it comes to drill combinations has been very much in favour of pneumatic metering systems. Larger hopper capacities and the introduction of electrically-driven metering systems with push-button calibration and automatic GPS-based headland shut-off systems have been the main driving factors. However, the simplicity of a conventional seed drill with its lack of fan and improved rearward visibility still holds some appeal to many end-users. The new 3...
