Sugar beet trials with Agrii (England)

In cooperation with Agrii and Andrew Ward from @wardyswaffle, we undertook the drilling of several trials plots with a Precea 6000-2FCC.

The aim of the trial was to discern the differences in a number of varieties and seed coatings as well as look at the efficacy of using strip tillage when establishing a sugar beet crop, to determine whether input costs can be decreased without impacting crop yield and sugar.

With super consistent seed depth and precise singling, the Precea was the perfect machine for the job.

Located near Newark the field trial plots are situated on loamy clay soil.
