The all-new Profihopper PH 1500 - now bigger, bolder and considerably more high-tech

PH 1500
New from the ground up - the new PH 1500 SmartLine

The new Profihopper 1500 SmartLine - capable of up to 15,000 m² per hour
The Profihopper 1500 SmartLine self-propelled mower offers a professional, high performance machine with the ultimate in output. Thanks to a working speed of up to 10 km/h and a cutting width of 1.50 m, area outputs of up to 15,000 m² per hour are possible.

More performance, more efficiency from that unique technology
From mowing and mulching to scarifying and collecting - the Profihopper 1500 SmartLine is the tool for use in any situation. As a fine flail mower, the all-season machine provides an excellent cutting quality in both short and long grass. By having the ability to mow, mulch or scarify and to collect grass, leaves, horse droppings or rubbish in just one pass, valuable time is saved. Maximum output can be achieved from the 1.50 m wide, out-front mower. In addition, it is equipped with the SmartCut exact cut rotor with a chevron-shaped blade arrangement for improved cutting and pick-up quality. Cutting heights from 0 – 9 cm are easily set.

The robust PowerCompactor auger conveyor system consists of both a longitudinal and a transverse auger. This enables the Profihopper to have higher conveying rates, and thus better forward speeds, than comparable machines, even in long grass. The grass is compacted immediately after being picked up by the PowerCompactor system and is force-fed into the hopper. This compaction means that over 1,600 litres of uncompressed grass can be collected in the 1,100 litre collecting hopper. As a result, time wasted due to hopper emptying is immediately reduced and the productivity of the machine, and thus the work rate, is increased in parallel. The PowerCompactor system requires no air assistance and is therefore quiet and largely dust-free. Simple unloading into high-sided transport vehicles is possible by utilising the Profihopper’s hydraulic high-tip emptying at 2.50 metres.

The all year-round machine offers powerful arguments
The modern, high-performance engine technology (45.6 HP / 34kW) comes Stage 5 ready and without the need for DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid). The 50 l diesel fuel tank ensures long uninterrupted working days. Ground-breaking performance at working speeds of up to 10 km/h guarantee maximum efficiency whereas, on the road, speeds of up to 20 km/h are possible. The Profihopper 1500 SmartLine is equipped with intelligent 4WDi all-wheel drive. Via this 4WDi technology, drive to the rear wheels are only engaged when the front wheels need assistance. In bends, on slopes and in wet conditions, the strengths of the machine become particularly obvious. The system works in both forward and reverse gear. The intelligent all-wheel drive and electronic engine management system, which provides revs on demand when in road mode, means massive fuel savings in normal operation. The compact design enables 0-turning circle steering and thus offers greater manoeuvrability and safety off-road. The ultimate in frame robustness and reliability in operation make the machine stand out from other mowers.

High levels of operational comfort and optimum ergonomics
The high levels of operational comfort offered make every job considerably more relaxed, fatigue-free and safer. The ergonomic positioning of all the driver controls, even down to the PowerShuttle lever and the standard cruise control actuation, guarantees stress-free operation plus there is simple, fingertip control of the mowing deck and hopper emptying from the armrest. This machine even has a cup holder and a lockable storage compartment. In addition, valuable job data, such as area mown and time taken, is constantly shown on the digital info display during use and these counters can be reset when that job has been completed.

The machine can be seen for the first time on the Amazone Groundcare stand K111 at IOG Saltex at NEC Birmingham from October 31st – November 1st 2018. Come and find us there and talk about how the new PH1500 can revolutionise your business

The 250,000th Amazone drill sold

The origin of the seed drill’s history stretches back to 1947, when Dipl. Eng. Heinrich Dreyer worked together with Mr Kademann to develop the first D1 seed drill that had a working width of 2 m and which was equipped with the innovative Elite seed wheel for and easy switch between fine and normal seeds. This seed drill revolutionised the drilling of catch crops because, unlike other seed drills of that time, the D1 didn’t need the seed wheels to be constantly changed.

Amazone RoTeC coulters – in use more than 1.5 million over

An Amazone innovation enjoys a very special anniversary with 1.5 million RoTeC single disc coulters now in use. And, at the standard row spacings of between 12.5 cm and 16.6 cm, this would correspond to a total working width of over 200 kilometres! The RoTeC coulter shows its strengths particularly under difficult mulch sowing conditions – when, for example, dealing with large quantities of crop residues and on damp, heavy and sticky soils.

Get a ZA-M ecoSPECIAL for just £4,950

Irrespective of the amount of fertiliser being spread on a farm, it is an expensive commodity that needs to be accurately applied. The ZA-M range of spreaders has been at the forefront of fertiliser spreading on British farms for decades and the simple mix of gentle fertiliser handling with the SBS – Soft ballistic System – and the high quality components made from stainless steel and plastic make it both easy on the fertiliser and easy on the pocket.
